After eleven years in the tourism sector, Goretti Kabuto opted for a change to diversify her career and boost her personal income. Mrs. Kabuto opened Rwanda’s first business magazine and an advertising agency Business Rwanda. Today, Business Rwanda is considered a regional paragon for up to date information and quality publishing. While in Oklahoma participating in Peace through Business 2008, Goretti was mentored by Mary Melon, President of The Journal Record and Sara Taylor, President of Metro Magazine in Oklahoma City.
Goretti was ready to assist IEEW in any way possible during the November-December 2008 visit and provided transportation and valuable introductions as IEEW’s Lin Weigel searched for a site for the coming women’s business center.
