OKLAHOMA CITY- March 17, 2014 Thirty business women in Kabul, Afghanistan are poised to make their impact on the world by taking their next steps on the road toward freedom and empowerment. On March 19, 8:30 to 10:30 am, 30 women will take part in a graduation ceremony to be held in the Conference Hall of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce & Industries, beside Kabul Nendari.
A delegation of Oklahomans including Oklahoma County Commissioner Brian Maughan and business leader Dr. Terry Neese has arrived in Rwanda to help local women create new businesses and cement Oklahoma City’s Sister Cities relationship with the capital city of Kigali.
OKLAHOMA CITY- January 7, 2014 Sixty businesswomen in Kigali City, Rwanda and Kabul, Afghanistan begin an intensive and unique 10-week business course this month. The course is part of the PEACE THROUGH BUSINESS® program sponsored by the non-profit Institute for Economic Empowerment of Women (IEEW).
