IEEW updates

  • On June 3, I attended the 28th Sovereignty Symposium at the Skirvin hotel in downtown Oklahoma City. Most of Oklahoma’s 38 tribes were represented. I participated in a panel discussion on economic development in the Native American community. Economic development through educating and empowering women entrepreneurs around the world is our mission at IEEW. See photos

  • As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Institute for Economic Empowerment of Women and its PEACE THROUGH BUSINESS(r) program is fully funded by corporate and private donations. Every year, we host one major fundraiser. Our ANNUAL JEWEL FASHION SHOW is held in July when our Rwandan and Afghanistan women entrepreneurs visit Oklahoma City. Tuesday, July 14 will be your opportunity to meet these inspiring women, hear some of their stories and see beautiful fashions! Fashion makes a powerful statement and reflects art, politics and economic development.
