Lyliose Nduhungirehe is one of our outstanding Rwandan students in the 2014 PEACE THROUGH BUSINESS® class. She graduates on March 21 with 26 of her peers at the Serena Hotel in Kigali City. Lyliose was born and raised in Rwanda. She left the country in 1992 to study civil engineering in Senegal. She received her masters in civil engineering from the Université de Sciences et Technique de Lille, France. After working for a number of years in construction in Brussels, she switched to working in Information Technology, putting in eight years at Euroclear Bank as an IT analyst and IT project manager. Lyliose has a passion for astronomy and, while in France, worked to popularize the subject in schools. In Belgium, she was a member of several astronomy clubs.

After 17 years of absence from her homeland, Lyliose returned to Rwanda. After one year as IT Project Manager for Banque Populaire du Rwanda, she decided it was time to start her own business. Tangaza, which means “advertise” in Kinyarwanda, was created as the first Rwandan newspaper exclusively dedicated to Classified Advertisement. Part of Lyliose’s five-year plan is to take this weekly print newspaper online. The long-term goal of Tangaza is to publish in neighboring countries, such as Burundi, Congo, Gabon, and Camaroon. Countries not already saturated with this type of product, along with the experience Tangaza can bring to the industry, should make implementation much easier.

At PEACE THROUGH BUSINESS®, we salute Lyliose and her 2014 classmates in their accomplishments.
