At an early age Edith developed her gift with handicrafts; knitting, sewing, embroidery, and working with beads. This ability and passion was honed over a 30-year period. Her work was influenced by Rwandan art and she also derived inspiration from her life in various parts of Africa, Europe, and the USA.
When her husband was posted back in Rwanda, Edith believed it was time to follow her dream and open a Bridal shop where she could provide a service of renting affordable formal attire for style-conscious Rwandans. With a small loan from her husband Edith was the first to introduce this business model in Rwanda. “It is very gratifying to have these couples approach me years later and tell me how I made their wedding day a success.”

Bridal Image is a rental provider of affordable bridal gowns and formal wear. Although Edith was the first to introduce this concept, it has proven quite popular in Rwanda. Today she has two locations in the center of Kigali and she has provided hundreds of couples with her unique and authentic bridal wear. Her business has created jobs for other women and even inspired them to begin their own. When asked what the most inspiring part of her day, she would say building the deep connections she develops with her customers.
Edith hopes to strengthen her business skills by participating in PEACE THROUGH BUSINESS® and looks forward to meeting and exchanging ideas with other business women.
