2008 - 2009 Time Line
Having strong ties to Rwanda, Oklahoma Christian University asked IEEW to implement our Peace through Business program with women entrepreneurs in Rwanda. With the support of the Rwandan government and Oklahoma Christian’s on-the-ground staff, Peace through Business proved to be a program that can expand to any country that desires to build their economy through the empowerment of its women entrepreneurs.
Below are the key dates of this program:
July 3, 2008 - Rwandan women arrive in Oklahoma City
July 7, 2008 - Class begins at Oklahoma Christian University
July 25, 2008 - Class work ends
July 26, 2008 - Mentor Week begins in Oklahoma City
August 1, 2008 - Graduation and Final Reception in Oklahoma City
August 2, 2008 - Flight home to Rwanda
