Board of Directors

President

  • Maintain ultimate responsibility for ensuring that all chapter requirements are met and that the chapter is operated according to the specifications of the Association charter
  • Oversee and coordinate activities of all other officers, board members, committee chairs, etc.
  • Plan and run monthly/quarterly meetings
  • Solicit volunteers for the Program Committees and oversee its activities, including:
    • Identifying, selecting and handling all arrangements with speakers
    • Identifying, arranging and coordinating logistics meetings
    • Soliciting input from chapter members regarding potential topics
  • Establish and oversee committees as necessary
  • Write monthly president’s message for newsletter
  • Develop, assist, motivate, and recognize all other officers
  • Coordinate election of officers for next year
  • Train Vice-President, turn over all records and documents, and ensure smooth transition to next administration


Vice President/Membership Director

  • Assist the President as required and assume her duties when necessary
  • Coordinates chapter/member involvement in community projects
  • Develop (with the Institute and chapter officers) and oversee implementation of an annual plan for member recruitment and retention
  • Solicit volunteers for the Membership Committee and oversee its activities, including:
    • Greeting and welcoming attendees at chapter events and identifying new member
  • Train new VP/Membership Director, turn over all records and documents, and ensure smooth transition to next administration


Secretary

  • Record minutes at each meeting
  • Keep chapter membership database up to date based upon monthly roster
  • Verify members’ address/telephone/email/preferred mailing address and notify the Institute of any updates
  • Coordinate monthly report with the Institute
  • Maintain records of chapter correspondence and minutes and assist with chapter correspondence as required
  • Compile, write and distribute monthly newsletter (with input from other officers)
  • Prepare and print annual member directory
  • Train new Secretary, turn over all records and documents, and ensure smooth transition to next administration.


Treasurer

  • Responsible and accountable for all chapter money
  • Prepare annual budget
  • Maintain chapter accounts and record
  • Based upon income and expenses, update budget monthly and prepare monthly account summaries for the Institute, Association President, and Facilitator
  • Collect money and issue receipts at all chapter functions
  • Train new Treasurer, turn over all records and documents, and ensure smooth transition to next administration.


In-Country Facilitator

  • Hold strategic planning meeting with chapter President and Vice President to determine chapter goals, objectives and strategies
  • Assist chapter President in all areas needed
  • Not eligible for Officer position
